Important Notice from Revenue(ROS)

frank Financial Serivices savings

As was the case last year, PAYE customers who use the Revenue Online Service (ROS) and whose pension contributions were not deducted through a net pay arrangement with their employer will need to upload their pension certificate when filing their tax return before the tax deadline. This is necessary to claim tax relief on pension contributions.
Affected Policies:
This requirement pertains to PAYE customers using ROS where pension contributions were not made through a net pay arrangement with their employer. It includes Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) and PRSA AVCs to occupational pension schemes, as well as Personal Pensions and PRSAs.
Insurance Ireland and Revenue have agreed upon a “one-page” alternative again. Zurich Life has created a downloadable template, which is also accessible via our website. Just click on the link below.
Pension Declaration
Revenue has confirmed that customers can upload this document to ROS as part of their claim, including the following details:
– Date of pension contribution payment
– Total amount paid
– Type of pension contract to which the contribution was made – AVC, PRSA AVC, PP, or PRSA
– The relevant policy/scheme number (or “new policy, will be confirmed by Life Office in due course” if it is a new policy)
– Customer’s name and address
– Confirmation that tax relief was not granted on the contribution through net pay
Customers should prepare the form themselves and upload it directly to ROS.
Revenue will publish an update on this matter, likely on their ROS platform.
